Product Camp Boston – November 7, 2009

I had a blast today attending Product Camp Boston in Cambridge.  Steve Johnson from Pragmatic Marketing gave a keynote talk on managing one’s career with the Pragmatic Marketing Framework.  This talk was thoroughly enjoyable, as were the talks by Steven Haines on roadmapping, John Mansour on how product management can drive strategy, Alan Chachich on ferreting out customer requirements, Alan Armstrong on win-loss, and finally Barbara Finer’s roundtable discussion on customer visits.

The best part of the day was the networking, and having the time and space to reflect on product management as a discipline without the pesky interruptions of everyday work tasks.  (And the free Sam Adams was a great way to end the day.)

As I tweeted tonight: Registration fee – $0. Having a whole uninterrupted day to meet people and think PM thoughts – priceless!
